A payday loan firm, called Help Loan, which started its cash checking business in the UK during the summer of 2010 has run into trouble.
They have been accused by many British citizens for debt chasing where the people concerned have never taken a loan from the Finland based company. The debt collectors who work for this company have so far called up nearly 5000 people.
Help Loan gives loans to Brits who are struggling financially, but with very high interest rates . However, the company has stated that it is not their fault but they have become victims of fraudsters who use personal details of innocent people and apply for loans, which means a person whose contact information is stolen may become a victim. The total amount taken as loan by these 5000 people totals around 1.5 million.
The police are investigating the matter and British citizens will be relieved to hear that their credit history will not be affected as a result of this problem.
